Building a business through decent jobs and social justice in Albania

In the 1990s, as Albania’s economy collapsed, hundreds upon thousands of Albanians fled the country in search of stability. Skodra native Gjergi Legejza chose to stay. Starting out in the textile sector, he built his own enterprises from the ground up, creating hundreds of jobs along the way.

For Legejza, the goal has always been more than just employment. He is committed to providing decent, high-quality jobs that give people a reason to stay and build better lives for themselves and their families. Beyond business, he has become an active force in Albania’s cultural and social landscape, supporting local sports teams, community initiatives, and programs that empower persons with disabilities to work and thrive.
