II Conferencia Nacional de Empleo y Trabajo Decente
The II National Conference on Employment and Decent Work (II CNTED), to be held in Brazil in 2025, can play an important role in building inputs for the 2nd World Summit for Social Development. Following a stakeholder participation roadmap involving government, workers, employers and civil society at local, regional and national levels, the II CNTED will serve as a space for national mobilisation to identify and articulate employment and decent work policies aligned with the realities and expectations of the population. Its results, as guidelines for the generation of quality jobs, the strengthening of social protection and the fight against inequalities in the labour market, can feed into the WSSD2 discussions, aligning with the event's objectives of involving multiple actors in the formulation and implementation of effective social policies. Furthermore, the recommendations of the II CNTED can be shared in international fora, contributing to the global commitment to accelerate the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and strengthen stakeholder participation in building a more inclusive social agenda.
