Media
Media representatives including journalists, photographers and videographers who are not part of official delegations, must apply for accreditation through the United Nations Media Accreditation and Liaison Unit (MALU) online form (https://indico.un.org/UNHQ/#media). When completing the form, applicants should select Temporary Pass in the Pass Details section and enter the conference title and dates in the Assignment fields. Applicants will be required to submit a letter of assignment from a bona fide media organization addressed to the United Nations, samples of their work, and a government issued identification. Independent broadcast or film production companies must provide a letter from a broadcast organization or film distributor which has committed to air or distribute the work. The call for media accreditation will be announced on the Summit website and is scheduled to open on 1 September and close on 15 October 2025. More information about the general accreditation process for media at UNHQ can be found here: https://www.un.org/en/media/accreditation/request.shtml
Media representatives who are a part of official delegations, including journalists and official photo and video, must be registered through their respective permanent/observer mission or liaison office in New York through the online “eRegistration system”, which is available on the e-deleGATE portal at https://e-delegate.un.org. The registration is scheduled to open on 1 September and close on 15 October 2025. Designated e-Registration focal points may refer to the instructions. Spokespersons, communications advisers, information officers without camera equipment do not need to apply for a media pass.

Notes:
- Media accreditation is not issued to information outlets or advocacy publications of non-governmental organizations.
- Media representatives should apply either on their own OR through the delegations. Duplicate requests will be rejected.
- Media accredited to UN Headquarters in New York must still apply for accreditation to the conference.
