High-level Round Table 1 on “Strengthening the three pillars of social development: poverty eradication, full and productive employment and decent work for all, and social inclusion”.

Through an open, multi-stakeholder exchange, Round Table 1 will identify priorities for integrated actions that would accelerate social development progress and address critical cross-cutting issues, while taking into account global systemic trends and their impacts on the three core commitments of the Copenhagen Declaration.

The Round Table will begin with welcome remarks by the Co-Chairs, followed by a keynote speech by a high-profile personality. These are followed by a moderated panel discussion composed of Heads of State and Government, selected NGO, private sector and/or intergovernmental organization

Expressions of Interest to Speak in the Roundtables

The President of the General Assembly has issued a call for expressions of interest from Member States and Permanent Observers of the General Assembly to serve as co-chairs or otherwise intervene in the roundtables, as appropriate, as outlined below:
 
 
United Nations entities and international financial institutions have also been invited to express their interest to speak via the letter linked below:
 
Registered and approved non-governmental organizations in consultative status with the Economic and Social Council, and organizations with special accreditation to the Summit, have received a call for expressions of interest from the Summit Secretariat, are to be submitted via the dedicated form circulated via email by the deadline, 24 October.
