UNESCO call for Int. Year of Indigenous Languages 2019

With reference to the organization of the 2019 International Year of Indigenous Languages, UNESCO together with a range of different partners prepared an Action Plan which will be presented at the upcoming 17^th session of the Permanent Forum on Indigenous Issues on 16 April 2018. One of the proposed working modalities is an establishment of a Steering Committee which would include representations of regional socio-cultural groups of Indigenous Peoples, interested Member States, representatives of three party UN mechanism including the UNPFII, The Special Rapporteur and EMRIP, as well as UN agencies.
