The AARP and the DESA Programme on Ageing co-hosted the 18th Annual Briefing Series on Global Ageing, under the theme Population Ageing, Older Women, and Development Financing. Held as a luncheon event, the briefing explored how development finance can support prosperity and security in ageing societies, with a particular emphasis on the needs and contributions of older women. Discussions took place in the context of the upcoming Fourth International Conference on Financing for Development and the Second World Summit on Social Development, highlighting the urgency of aligning financial strategies with demographic realities.
