Draft resolution: Doha Political Declaration of the “World Social Summit” under the title “the Second World Summit for Social Development”

The President of the General Assembly has submitted for consideration the Draft Resolution (A/80/L.5) on the Doha Political Declaration of the “World Social Summit” under the title “the Second World Summit for Social Development”. The draft reaffirms global commitments to eradicate poverty, promote full and productive employment and decent work for all, and foster social inclusion. It calls for renewed multilateral cooperation, solidarity, and innovative solutions to accelerate social progress and achieve the 2030 Agenda, building on the legacy of the 1995 Copenhagen Declaration and Programme of Action.
