Registration Now Open for Organizations with Special Accreditation to Participate in the Second World Summit for Social Development
The United Nations is pleased to announce that registration is now open for organizations granted special accreditation to participate in the Second World Summit for Social Development, to be held in Doha, Qatar, from 4 to 6 November 2025.
Special accreditation enables the participation of organizations that are not in consultative status with the Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) but have been formally approved to engage in the Summit process. This ensures that the voices of a broad range of stakeholders—including civil society, academia, grassroots groups, and networks—are represented in shaping a renewed vision for social development.
Thirty years after the landmark 1995 World Summit for Social Development in Copenhagen, the world will gather once again to accelerate action on poverty eradication, full and productive employment, decent work for all, and social integration. The Summit offers a critical opportunity to reaffirm global commitments, address persistent challenges, and chart a path forward for achieving the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.
Organizations with special accreditation are encouraged to register early to ensure their participation in this historic event.
