During its 49th session, the Commission for Social Development adopted draft resolution E/CN.5/2011/L.3 entitled "Modalities of the second review and appraisal of the Madrid International Plan of Action on Ageing".

Strengthening International and Regional Frameworks to Protect the Human Rights of Older Persons
As a part of 2011 Founder’s Events, American University Washington College of Law presents an expert panel on "Strengthening International and Regional Frameworks to Protect the Human Rights of Older Persons" co-sponsored by the Academy on Human Rights and Humanitarian Law and United Nations Population Fund.
