Report of the Secretary-General to the fifty-sixth session of the Commission for Social Development (E/CN.5/2018/4)
The report was prepared in response to the request of the Economic and Social Council in its resolution 2015/5. It assesses the third review and appraisal of the Madrid International Plan of Action on Ageing, 2002, at the international level. The report gives an overview of the regional review and appraisal processes and describes overall trends based on an analysis of the outcome of regional reviews and appraisals and highlights continuing gaps in, and challenges to, the implementation of the Madrid Plan of Action.
