General Assembly: Revised draft text on Participation of indigenous peoples at UN

meetingOn 19 May the President of the General Assembly transmitted a letter from his Advisers on the consultation process concerning the ways to enable the participation of Indigenous Peoples’ representatives and institutions in meetings of relevant United Nations bodies on issues affecting them. The letter contains the first revised draft text for upcoming negotiations scheduled for 25 and 26 May, 2017. On May 26 there will also be a briefing for Indigenous Peoples on the negotiations at 2:30 pm in room S-1524. Further information on the process relating to the participation of Indigenous Peoples at the UN is available here.
