Informal Briefing on the Second World Social Summit, 25 November 2024

An informal briefing for stakeholders on the preparations for the “World Social Summit” in 2025 under the title “the Second World Summit on Social Development” will be convened by H.E. Mr. Philippe Kridelka, Permanent Representative of Belgium to the United Nations, and H.E. Mr. Omar Hilale, Permanent Representative of the Kingdom of Morocco to the United Nations, in their capacity as co-facilitators of the intergovernmental preparatory process leading up to the Summit. 


 
The informal briefing is scheduled for November 25, 2024, from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM in Conference Room 1 at the United Nations Headquarters in New York. Attendance is in-person only. The briefing will be broadcast LIVE on our UN WebTV website at: https://webtv.un.org/en/asset/k1c/k1ceozau4l. To make statements, participants must attend in-person, provided there is enough time.
 
Representatives of non-governmental organizations in consultative status with the Economic and Social Council, as well as representatives of other relevant non-governmental organizations, civil society organizations, academic institutions and the private sector with a valid United Nations grounds pass are invited to attend. Please note that special event passes will not be provided for this briefing.
