Registration for NGOs with ECOSOC Consultative Status Now Open

The United Nations is pleased to announce that registration is now open for NGOs in consultative status with the Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) to participate in the Second World Summit for Social Development, taking place from 4 to 6 November 2025 in Doha, Qatar.

Convened by the General Assembly through Resolutions 78/261 and 78/318, the Summit marks thirty years since the landmark 1995 World Summit for Social Development in Copenhagen. In a world facing inequalities, demographic shifts, and rapid technological transformation, the global community will gather once again to accelerate action on poverty eradication, employment and decent work for all, and social integration.

Key Information for NGOs:

• Each organization may request registration for up to 15 representatives.
• Each profile must be submitted individually through the registration portal.
• Submission does not guarantee participation. Approved participants will receive a confirmation letter.
• The deadline for registration is 30 September 2025 (23:59 EDT).
