A New Revamped Website on Social Policy and Development Issues

The UNDESA’s Division for Social Policy and Development (DSPD) has launched its new and improved website at: http://social.un.org or http://undesadspd.org

The new website promotes three core issues of DSPD: poverty eradication, employment generation and social integration, in order to assist Member States to develop policies and practices that support the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. It promotes greater awareness of social development issues, including older persons, persons with disabilities, family, indigenous peoples and youth.

The new website provides quick and easy access to essential information on DSPD’s work and its issues, forming a part of the Division’s ongoing efforts to enhance the quality and availability of information to audiences worldwide.

New features provide an improved functionality through:

  • A dynamic home page with images, videos and regularly updated news on social development issues;
  • User and mobile friendly pages as well as better accessibility for all;
  • An improved calendar feature to keep track of important events.
