Climate change and the world of work | Division for Inclusive Social Development (DISD)

The 2015 World of Work Summit on 11 June 2015 was opened with a discussion on climate change and the world of work. This panel discussed how governments, workers, and employers can ensure a transition into sustainable enterprises and productive employment.

The panel opened with Guy Ryder discussing the challenges and benefits of a transition into greener economies.

The discussion continued with questions and remarks centered around issues from the importance of technology transfers to the developing world to the role of social dialogue in facilitating the transition to greener economies.
