First MOST Forum of Ministers of Social Development for Central Africa

The first MOST Forum of Ministers of Social Development for Central Africa is taking place in Yaoundé, from 24 to 26 October 2016, at the invitation of the Government of Cameroon. Co-organized with the UNESCO's Management of Social Transformations (MOST) Programme, the event is hosted by H.E. Ms Madeleine Tchuinté, Minister of Scientific Research and Innovation of Cameroon.

The MOST Forum is focusing on the theme of “Insecurity and Migration in Central Africa: Impact on Women and Youth”.

The objective of the Forum is to:

- Share knowledge, expertise and experience on developing and implementing innovative, evidence-based, effective public policies, and
- Establish relevant, credible, and actionable agendas for translating rigorous social science knowledge into policy action within the context of the Forum.

The Forum will culminate in the adoption of a policy-oriented Ministerial Declaration, responding to the challenges related to the theme, and an Action Plan. The results of the Forum will contribute to implement the MOST Programme's Strategy adopted at the 199th session of UNESCO's Executive Board, and to the new 2030 Agenda for sustainable development.
