Global Good Practices - UN Disability and Development Report 2023 and the Zero Project Policymaker Forum Publication

In a noteworthy gathering during the 16th session of the Conference of States Parties to the United Nations Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (COSP16), the Side Event titled, "Global Good Practices: UN Disability and Development Report 2023 and the Zero Project Policymaker Forum Publication" shed light on the legislative correlation between the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (CRPD) and the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Representatives from UN DESA provided a preview of the UN Disability and Development Report 2023, which includes an SDG matrix that highlights how respective sustainable development goals are being met by Zero Project Awardees around the world.

Throughout the session, compelling case studies were presented in the form of the newly published Zero Project Model Policy report that showcases innovative policies that integrate the principles of the CRPD into the fabric of sustainable development:
