Over 80% of hungry people live in disaster-prone areas and in degraded environments that increase the damage that disasters create. How to help communities reduce and manage the risks when they face natural disasters?

The World Food Progrogramme (WFP) released an infographic  shows how disasters affect hunger and malnutrition, and how hunger and malnutrition increase disaster risk.

In this infographic, WFP provides tactics on how to reduce disaster risk through emergency preparedness, building resilience, supporting to safety nets and food security analysis.
