CSocD55 Photo Exhibition – Family

Salomon de la Selva:  Natalia is mother to two sets of twin girls and their older brother, Armando. Ensuring that the five children have adequate supplies for school has been a struggle for her and her husband. However, one year ago, thanks to a generous donation from Cargill, the girls’ school began implementing the One Laptop Per Child educational programme in partnership with the Fundación Zamora Terán. Natalia’s four daughters now have access to their own individual laptops that they bring home and share with the family. This programme has expanded the opportunities for learning far beyond the walls of the classroom. Natalia sees the programme as opening her children to a world of new possibilities for their future, as they will continue their education with the digital skills required by the modern workforce. The girls and their brother are enthusiastic learners, thanks to the One Laptop Per Child educational program.  Photo by Fundacion Zamora Teran | Location: Nicaragua
