The European Union Association in cooperation with the Asia-Europe NGOs Network and with the support of the Chairmanship of the Asia-Europe Meeting (ASEM11) Permanent Mission of Mongolia, the Delegation of the European Union to the United Nations, the Permanent Mission of Italy to the United Nations and the Asia Europe Foundation (ASEF) headquarters in Singapore will be organizing a photography and painting exhibition on life and traditions among 51 countries in Europe and Asia. The event will mark the 20th Anniversary of the founding of the Asia-Europe Meeting a platform that supports people to people exchanges as well as cooperation for the economic and social development of its members, representing over 65% of the world population and 60% of world trade.
The first phase of the exhibition started on June 13 until June 25 at the UN General Secretariat’s Delegates Entrance and will continue over the week of July 11 to the 16 in conjunction with the ASEM11 summit due to take place in the Mongolian Capital Ulaanbaatar with the participation of the leaders of 51 Heads of State and Senior Representatives among the UN family.This event will allow the UN community an opportunity to review moments of cultural economic and social aspects of the life of over 3 billion people.
