SDGs represent a better future for people and the planet

Mr. WU Hongbo, UN Under-Secretary-General for Economic and Social Affairs, gave an exclusive interview to UN Radio on the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in connection with the United Nations Summit on Sustainable Development, 25-27 September 2015 at UN Headquarters in New York.

He explains why the 17 SDGs--which range from eradicating extreme poverty to ensuring access to water and sanitation for all people--will have a "profound impact" on the planet and on the work of the United Nations.
