Social Economy in Cooperation

The eleventh edition of the Kuyavian-Pomeranian Social Economy Forum 2021 started with an online event on 19th October. It counted with speakers from the region of Veneto in Italy, the Division for Social Inclusion Development in the Department of Economic and Social Affairs of the United Nations, the International Federation for Family Development and the Directorate General of Health and Food Safety of the European Commission.

The opening remarks were delivered by the Marshal of the Kuyavian-Pomeranian Voivodeship, Piotr Całbecki. The plenary session was focused on Sustainable Development Goal no. 11 and the Venice Declaration as a useful instrument to make cities inclusive, safe, resilient and sustainable, through the implementation of a family perspective.

The event was organized by the Regional Center for Social Policy in Toruń. Participation was made available online for around 200 participants who represented different social sectors. The Forum has been held under the honorary patronage of Piotr Całbecki, Marshal of the Kuyavian-Pomeranian Voivodeship, Elżbieta Piniewska, Chairwoman of the Kujawsko-Pomorskie Regional Assembly, and the Representation of the European Commission in Poland.
