The International Transport Forum is holding their annual summit in Leipzig, Germany from 27-29 of May. The theme of this year's Forum is 'Transport, Trade and Tourism Mobility for a connected world'.
Some of the questions that will be discussed are: What are the trade routes of the future? What is the role of transport in sustainable tourism growth? What does the rise of the shared economy mean for transport? How can transport, trade and tourism activity foster opportunities for regional development?
UN DESA's Divison for Social Policy and Development director Ms. Daniela Bas is one of the speakers and will discuss the topic accessible tourism.
The Summit is an invitation-only event. You can request an invitation through the ITF Summit website. (Please note that you do not need to do so if you have received an invitation to past Summits). Invitations will be mailed end February, when online registration will also be open.
