UNiTE To End Violence against Women

The Asia-Pacific Commemoration of the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women will be held at the UN Conference Centre in Bangkok from 15:30-17:30 on 25 November 2015.

This year marks the five-year anniversary of the Asia-Pacific regional launch of the UN Secretary-General's UNiTE to End Violence Against Women Campaign. The event will feature HRH Princess Bajarakitiyabha, UN Women Thailand Goodwill Ambassador, who will deliver a keynote address.

The event will also highlight progress made in the last five years and identify further measures required to end violence against women in the region as well as to present Asia-Pacific Member States’ forward-looking Commitments to advance women’s empowerment. Representatives of the diplomatic community, UN agencies, regional inter-governmental organizations and civil society organizations will join the commemoration.
