Statement of the Chairperson of the Permanent Forum on the 3rd GA Consultation to enable the participation of Indigenous Peoples

Alvaro_Pop-14th-session-of_UNPFIIOn 30 June 2016, Mr. Alvaro Pop, Chairperson of the Permanent Forum on Indigenous Issues was invited by the President of the 70th session of the General Assembly to address the 3rd General Assembly consultation to provide views on possible measure to enable the participation of Indigenous Peoples’ representatives institutions in relevant United Nations meetings on issues affecting them, and of good practices within the United Nations regarding Indigenous Peoples’ participation.
