UN General Assembly Launch Event of the 2019 International Year of Indigenous Languages

The President of the United Nations General Assembly is convening a High-Level meeting of the General Assembly to launch the 2019 International Year of Indigenous Languages. The meeting will be held on 1 February 2019, in the General Assembly Hall, from 10am to 1pm and from 3pm to 6pm.

Ticket collection for pre-registered participants (Registration closed)

Participants whose registration has been approved will be informed by email today.

Participants can pick up their special event ticket that allows access to UN Headquarters. Tickets are non-transferable, only pre-registered participants will be able to attend. Please bring a government issued identification document with a picture and a copy of the confirmation email message.

Location: UNITAR Building, 801 1st Avenue, New York, NY 10017 (Entrance on 45st Street)

Time: 8 a.m. to 9.30 a.m. (for both morning and afternoon sessions)

Travel and Visa Information
Arrangements for travel, including visa procedures, accommodation and transportation are the responsibility of NGOs and IPOs and other interested organizations. Representatives of participating organizations must deal directly with United States consulates in their countries of residence regarding visa issues. The United Nations will send a confirmation letter to NGO and IPO representatives once they have been pre-registered. This confirmation letter may be used by NGO and IPO representatives to request a visa from American authorities.
