Preliminary assessment of the fourth review and appraisal of the implementation of MIPAA

The Secretary-General presented the “Preliminary assessment of the fourth review and appraisal of the Madrid International Plan of Action on Ageing, 2002” to the 66^th Commission for Social Development in February 2022.

The report provides an analysis of the preliminary findings of the fourth review and appraisal of the implementation of the Madrid Plan of Action, including the identification of prevalent and emerging issues and related policy options.

The report also highlights information on the regional preparations for the fourth review and appraisal exercise, including actions, activities and the utilization of a bottom-up participatory approach.
